The Diagnostic Cardiology Department at the Royal Melbourne Hospital is in a growth phase with a new Cath Lab opening. The Royal Melbourne Hospital is part of the Parkville precinct and is co-located with the Royal Women's Hospital and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. The Parkville precinct uses an electronic medical record (EMR) across all hospitals. Specialty Cardiology services include Adult Congenital Heart Disease, complex cardiac electrophysiology, structural cardiac intervention, cardiac genetics and cardiac implanted electronic device management including extraction.
We are looking for a Cardiac Physiologist who is keen to grow and develop as an Allied Health Professional to join our dynamic team. This is an opportunity to consolidate your knowledge in Cardiac Physiology in a supportive team environment, gain skills and experience in a range of basic to advanced EP procedures, and help patients of all different age groups and backgrounds.
Your new role:
- Work in the EP Lab and Cath Lab and assisting with the management of Cardiac Implanted Electronic Devices (PPMs, ICDs, ILRs).
- Learn to use different types of Cardiology equipment, reporting systems and our Electronic Medical Record
- Part of this role includes participation in an after-hours on call roster on a rotational basis.
About you:
- You hold an undergraduate Science degree and bring skills and knowledge from your previous experience (3+ years) in Cardiology.
- You hold post graduate qualifications in Cardiac Electrophysiology or Pacing and current accreditation with the Australian Council of Clinical Physiology (ACCP).
- You have effective communication skills and a passion for continued professional development.
- You want to build your expertise in Cardiology and are keen to learn.
