About the Role Under the guidance of the Chief Cardiac Physiologist and/or Directors of Cardiology you will be responsible for performing and interpreting complex resting transthoracic echocardiograms using advanced imaging techniques such as 3D, strain and contrast imaging. Your role will include performing and interpreting exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiograms, and assisting during Transoesophageal echocardiograms. As part of our dynamic team, the opportunity also exists for an experienced cardiac physiologists to support our rhythm management and Cath lab team. Duties include:
Perform and interpret complex resting transthoracic echocardiograms
Utilise advanced imaging technquies: such as 3D, strain and contrast imaging desirable
Perform and interpret exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiograms using treadmill, standard bicycle or recline bicycle
Assist with Transoesophageal echocardiograms
Classifications for this position will be SO57 - SO60 ($100,089 - $114,358 per annum, pro rata for part time). Please note, the below positions are available. If you could please confirm in your cover letter which position you are interested in applying for:

Full time, Fixed term until 12/6/24 - Maternity Leave backfill

Your Contribution
Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Applied Science
Completed Post Graduate qualification in cardiac ultrasound
Current full accreditation with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR).
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and diverse interpersonal skills
Current national criminal history check, or willing to obtain.

About St Vincent's Heart Centre / Cardiac Investigation Unit St Vincent's Cardiology offers comprehensive cardiac services providing a full range of invasive & non-invasive investigations including cardiac catheterisation and intervention, cardiac implantable electronic device implantation, structural heart program and international leading research. Our services are provided for outpatients & inpatients through the Cardiac Investigation Unit and St Vincent's Heart Centre which includes our established National Centre for Sports Cardiology (NCSC). The NCSC combines expertise from St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne, the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute and St Vincent's Institute to harnesses national leaders in the clinical and research specialty of sports cardiology. Additional opportunities exist to work offsite at the Victorian Aboriginal Health Service (VAHS). Ongoing support is provided to our clinical staff to further advance their skills with support in approved higher education courses and attendance to conferences.
