Cardiac Technician

We are a busy Private Cardiology Practice located within the North Shore Private Hospital. We are seeking an experienced and well-qualified Cardiac Technician/nurse to perform echocardiogram, stress testing and stress echocardiograms, and MIBI stress tests. 

The role is job share (28-hours per week) with the ability to cover your colleagues' annual leave as necessary.  Immediate start is available!

Responsibilities:

• Be able to setup and perform cardiac stress echocardiograms, supervised by a doctor and alongside a cardiac sonographer.
• Be able to provide provisional reports for review and signing by the doctor.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting and interpreting cardiac devices such as 24-hour Holter monitors and Heart Bug event monitors (long term ECG monitoring).
• Preparing patients for 12-lead ECG tests (electrocardiogram), performing ECGs.
• Assist all patients during their tests, showing professionalism, empathy and understanding. 
• Maintain a current awareness of advancements in cardiac testing relating to ECG, Holter, Event Monitoring and Stress Testing and remain up to date with changes to or improvements in monitoring and analysis software. 
• Maintaining cardiology equipment and apparatus through regular cleaning, sterilising and testing.
• Maintenance and ordering of medical supplies for the Stress Lab.
• All administration involved with running the stress lab.
