Where you'll be working


Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing


Provide efficient and effective general administrative and professional support services to both the administrative and clinical teams within the Cardiology Department. It is expected that all administrative staff are able to work and rotate across all areas within the Department to meet service requirements.

Selection Criteria

  1. Proven experience in a customer service environment.
  2. Evidence of high level verbal and written communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills.
  3. Ability to work independently and also as part of multidisciplinary team.
  4. Expertise in computer skills, proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Patient Management Systems (iPMs, Surginet, PowerChart and Cerner) and other standard Health Service applications including but not limited to HPE Content Manager, AFM Online and SARA.
  5. Demonstrated understanding of inpatient and outpatient billing using a Medicare system.
  6. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads.
  7. Demonstrated ability to show initiative with excellent problem solving skills.
  8. Ability to analyse and interpret information accurately and identify issues of sensitivity and confidentiality, including the ability to use discretion in knowing when to escalate matters of importance and/or urgency.
