City of Newcastle (CN) is currently seeking an administrative superstar to join and support our Open Space Operations and Aquatic Services teams with day-to-day administrative duties.
A Day in the Life…Your role as
Operations Administration Officer will see you working collaboratively across teams, with a range of responsibilities including:
- Provide professional and effective customer service on behalf of the Open Space Operations and Aquatic Services elements with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate the timely response to customer requests including input from relevant stakeholders and drafting of correspondence ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Provide support to the team on corporate processes and procedures. Build positive relationships across the service elements and other service units to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Support staff with the use and provision of technology devices and relevant applications and demonstrate a high level of computer knowledge and skill.
- Coordinate internal and external purchase of plant and equipment including PPE.
- Work collaboratively with the Sports team to assist in the smooth delivery and coordination of sporting assets (maintenance and usage) and associated processes including bookings, wet weather app, sports maintenance requests, facilitation of communication with users etc.
- Prepare reports and presentations to support the Open Space Operations and Aquatic Services as required.
- Coordinate and manage office activities, schedules, and resources to ensure efficient operation and timely completion of tasks. This includes calendar management, project planning, and prioritising daily administrative tasks.
- Provide administrative support to promote and deliver Water Safety Education program.
