About the role
As a Care Service Employee you are responsible for working within the required standards of clinical governance and ensuring that residents are receiving a consistent excellent level of care in a safe and respectful environment.
The role is to deliver homely and loving environment to our residents by providing care with compassion, respect, integrity and dignity. You will be responsible for providing assistance to resident, that meets their individual needs and support them with their personal care. You are responsible for role modelling BCAC's values and the behaviours that create a high-performing, highly engaged team. This includes creating a positive and professional work environment for residents, families, and employees.
Skills you'll need to succeed
- Relevant experience with Aged Care and a genuine desire to help others
- Certificate IV Ageing Support or equivalent
- Valid Australian work rights and/or Visa for overseas applicants
- First Aid Certificate or willingness to attain
- An awareness of WH&S and manual handling procedures
- Competent verbal and written communication skills
- Quick learner with a positive attitude
- Able to provide a person center approach to care that is safe, of value to the resident and provides the ideal customer experience
