It is required that you have previous drug, alcohol and mental health training and experience to be successful in this position. ABOUT THE ROLE You will play key role in delivering our award winning model of care and make a real difference to residents' quality of life. In the role of Care Service Employee at The Salvation Army, you will build strong, positive relationships with our residents and be responsible for the delivery of personal care and assistance to meet individual needs of our consumers. The role is to deliver homely and loving environments by providing care with compassion, respect, integrity and dignity. You will be able to work under limited supervision and in accordance with the resident's care plan to: Ensure the privacy and dignity of residents is maintained at all times and that all personal interactions reflect respect and compassionAssist in managing medication utilising medication compliance aidsRecognise and respond to change in the condition of residents' health & well-beingComplete simple wound dressingsImplement continence programsAttend to routine checks, i.e. blood pressure, temperature, pulse, blood sugarAssist in managing residents with diabetesMaintain accurate documentation throughout each shiftAssist in the development of resident care plansABOUT YOU We currently have positions available for individuals, who are committed to providing excellence in care and the best possible quality of life to our residents.
