As a Care Worker servicing clients in the Gosford and surrounding areas, you will enable our clients to live their best possible life, supporting them to live independently at home and doing the things they love by helping them with everyday activities such as (but not limited to):
- Support and assistance with personal care such as showering and dressing
- Household cleaning and laundry
- Meal preparation
- Providing respite for carers
- Transport to and from appointments/shops
- Social support
- Assisting with complex care needs
This role will also have the potential to support TRANSPAC clients (short-term specialised care and support program for older people who have been hospitalised and need help to recover). These clients aren't typically long-term clients but will often require complex/high care in the short-term.
What do we need from you?
We welcome applications from qualified candidates who hold a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support/Aged Care, this is essential.
You will need to be comfortable working on your own in the community, have excellent verbal communication skills and have an empathetic, patient and caring nature.
This role does require you to have a valid driver licence and own a reliable motor vehicle with a minimum Third-Party Property Damage car insurance as you need to travel to our clients’ homes.
- Company mobile phone to access emails, rosters and client care plans
- It is a requirement you undergo background checks including a new police check (at our cost).
