As a CareRing Case Worker, you will respectfully engage with a caseload of clients about the issues they are facing, identify areas for action and provide assessment, crisis management, and casework to those experiencing financial distress and vulnerability.
In this role, you will also assess, triage and book clients into CareRing services through intake procedures & the incoming phone line. You will also provide and facilitate appropriate referral/appointments to services available within and external to Uniting with particular emphasis on issues relating to those experiencing family violence, homelessness, mental health vulnerabilities and other complex circumstances.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:
- Relevant qualification in community services, social work or other related field.
- Full Driver’s licence
- The capacity to engage clients and establish effective helping relationships
- Ability to undertake solution-focused, strength-based assessments, needs analysis, development of intervention plans; and work with clients to bring about change
- Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities, including working with interpreters
- Experience with suicidal ideation, family violence and trauma informed practices
- Extensive knowledge of community services, for example, child, youth and family, family and interpersonal violence, housing, mental health and addiction support services
- Ability to speak a relevant community language would be considered an advantage
