About the opportunity
Fantastic opportunity for a skilled, charismatic, receptive, tradesperson to join our growing division in this newly created role as, Facilitate Carpenter / Maintenace Technician (VIC)
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Deliver excellent service across areas including Carpentry, Shopfitting, Rigging, Roller doors, General property maintenance, concreting fencing etc.
- Complete various building and property maintenance works.
- Knowledge and understanding of operational requirements to provide a positive experience for customers.
- In depth understanding and ability to identify and eliminate WHS hazards and risks on a job-by-job basis.
- Ensure all works undergone are compliant to Australian standards.
- Use and implement field and office management software as needed.
- Scope work for quoting, ordering material and coordinating completion of works in your area.
- Timely and professional presentation and punctual communication with customers, suppliers, contractors, and colleagues.
Skills & experience
To be successful you will already have experience and a track record of success in construction maintenance or related industries and be willing to learn any new skills required.
- Trade Certification or 5+ years’ experience in a trade type role as a minimum.
- A working knowledge of NCC standards and tolerances,
- Working knowledge, understanding of and commitment to work health and safety are prerequisites.
- Experience managing minor jobs/projects and communicating updates, potential issues and changes with customers and colleagues.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Valid and Current drivers’ licence – as driving is a critical aspect of the role
- Willing to obtain a satisfactory national police check.
- Willing to undertake and pass a Health check.
The following are regarded as desirable but not essential at commencement:
- High risk / Working at Heights / EWP (under 11m).
- First aid and CPR.
- Experience working with fabricated frames, sheds, roller doors etc.
- Forklift licence.
Offer:
- 38 hours per week with overtime, paid weekly.
- Hourly rate negotiable depending on experience.
- Maintained company vehicle and tools of trade provided.
- Work across Melbourne and Victoria, with occasional overnight trips as needed.
