Caseworker Care Services

The Caseworker Care Services works as part of a team to provide case management, carer support and supervision, in conjunction with the Team Leader Kindship Care.

The key objectives of this role are to:

• Provide an effective case management service to support the care of children and young people who are in a home-based care placement or who are through a Targeted Care Package (which can include foster care or kinship/family placements and independent living arrangements).
• Provide support and supervision to carers, including supporting them to provide the day-to-day care of the children and young people placed in their care. Carers may include foster carers, parents or kinship carers for Targeted Care Packages.

• Part-time role, working 68.4 hours per fortnight
• Permanent position
• $94,077 p/a + Super + Salary Packaging (pro-rata)

• Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Diploma of Welfare Studies or equivalent qualifications and/or 2 or more years of experience in delivering case work and therapeutic interventions.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the child protection and out of home care systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders and service providers.
• Current Victorian Driver’s license
• Understanding of the purpose and expectations of the Victorian Child Safe Standards and demonstrated commitment to contributing to a child safe organisation in both practice and culture.
