Adelaide Venue Management Corporation (AVM) operates Adelaide’s most iconic and commercially successful event venues - the Adelaide Convention Centre (ACC), Adelaide Entertainment Centre (AEC), Coopers Stadium (CS) and The Drive.
The Role
The Adelaide Convention Centre (ACC) is looking for casual Chefs. Working with some of the most experienced and highly regarded Chefs in the state, the successful candidates will have a minimum Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery (trade qualified preferred) be versatile all-rounders with positive attitudes and the capacity to develop in a structured team-based environment. You will thrive in our large state of the art commercial kitchen and be able to work across a 7-day operation, with the expectation to be working during the busiest service times.

What will you bring to AVM:
- Minimum Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery
- Trade qualified (completed an Australian apprenticeship or passed the appropriate trade test) will be highly regarded
- Demonstrated experience in quality establishments with high-volume food production
- A passion for food and the hospitality industry
- Willingness to learn and adapt to all areas (ie hot, cold larder, pastry)
- To be thoroughly versed in HACCP and Food Safety Protocols, with a demonstrated adherence to the practical implementation of such standards
- Proven ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent availability and flexibility over a 7-day roster, working days, nights and weekends
