We are committed to reducing paper and going digital to reduce our environmental impact and improve access and efficiency.The City of Fremantle is currently seeking to appoint a Commercial Operations Officer to join our Commercial Property and Parking team. This is a casual position starting from 12hrs per week, weekend work is required.Key responsibilities include:Support the day-to-day operation of the City’s parking systems. Monitor the City’s parking software to ensure faults are addressed before machines become out of order. Undertake daily maintenance of the City’s parking equipment to keep it at optimum efficiency. Undertake the collection, reconciliation and preparation of a daily summary of cash and credit card transactions from parking ticket machines. Assist in resolving software and hardware issues related to the City’s parking ticket machines by liaising with the ticket machine suppliers and manufacturers. Assist in resolving software issues related to the City’s pay by phone supplier/s. Handle customer complaints related to commercial parking issues. Undertake audits of parking signs and road markings, report to the Team Leader Commercial and support the implementation of any authorised changes. Provide support to the commercial team when facilitating commercial rent reviews and undertake CPI rent increases in accordance with City Leases. Assist in seeking quotes and liaising with providers to undertake property valuations in accordance with the City’s procurement policy. Assist in ensuring tenant outgoings are invoiced correctly and paid in a timely manner. Carry out administration-based activities including registering and coordinating documents in the document management system and maintaining data and records associated with each property in relevant systems and platforms. Provide support to the commercial team in the day-to-day management of the City’s property and parking portfolio. To be considered for this position, you will need: Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Outlook, Edge, with an ability to learn and effectively use in-house software. IT and software knowledge/experience. Effective communication skills. Strong literacy (grammar, punctuation, spelling) skills.
