THE ROLE
Utilise your relevant experience or qualifications to empower independence and encourage people with disabilities to be active members within their communities. You will be fun, enthusiastic and ready to take on a challenge to become a champion for acceptance and inclusion within the community. With guidance and training provided, you must be willing to assist people with their personal care needs and adopt positive behaviour strategies to support individuals with challenging behaviours.
THE IDEAL APPLICANT
Support workers looking for casual and ongoing work, in a workplace that offers variety and fun. We will be employing people over the age of 18 who are:
- Willing to use your skills working with people who have complex behaviours.
- Available for flexible work in various locations and hours, especially at our peak times including: out of school hours, weekend and school holidays. (Minimum 2 hour shifts)
- Experienced in and willing to assist people with their personal care, meal time assistance and complex physical support needs.
- Capable of working independently without direct supervision.
- Experienced working with people in areas such as youth work, education, leadership, sport, trades, recreation, social networks.

THE APPLICATION PROCESS
Prospective candidates will need to undergo a series of safety screening checks before being appointed to any position at IOE including: NDIS worker screening & Working With Children Check and professional reference checks. In addition to the safety screening, the successful applicant will be required to provide proof of currency for the mandatory training listed on the position description attached.
