The Role
Our client located in Banksmeadow are currently seeking casual experienced Freight Handlers. The Freight Handlers will be required to manually move freight within the depot.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all duties within set time frames and follow instructions
- Unload or load vehicles and cages / stillages
- Scanning and sorting freight up to 25 kilos
- Re palletising of freight
- Identifying damages and reporting in accordance to site process
- Ensure compliance and safety is adhered to at all times
- Basic understanding of a transport depot is highly advantageous
- Have a high attention to detail
- Confident using a scanner
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and good numeracy skills and postcode knowledge
- Previous experience in a transport depot
- Transport blue card or willing to obtain
- Shift lengths 4 - 6 hours
- Morning and Afternoon shifts available
- On-site parking available
