About the role
Reporting to the Finance Manager - UK & EU, this role is responsible for providing financial support for the management of the P&L and Balance Sheet for the UK and European regions.

As an Accountant, your key responsibilities will include
- Bank Reconciliations: Apply and reconcile receipts from Retail and E-Commerce sales channels to facilitate receipts and investigate variances as required
- Month End: Assist in the completion of month-end close in a timely and accurate manner by reviewing, investigating variances, and updating assigned monthly P&L statements.
- Balance Sheet: Complete assigned monthly balance sheet reconciliations, by reconciling intercompany loan accounts and maintaining registers.
- Retail: Prepare and distribute monthly reports to government bodies and external stakeholders, and maintain and update Retail registers and databases.
- Indirect Taxes: Assist with the preparation of indirect tax calculations and returns across the EU and UK.
- Budget Preparation: Assist in the preparation of the Annual Budget process by working closely with key departments to analyze prior year metrics and advise on projected forecasts.
What you will bring to the role
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar commercial finance role.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- A high level of enthusiasm and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritise a large volume of tasks to meet deadlines.
- Clear communication skills.
- Previous experience with AP21 (highly regarded but not essential).
