AddressEast Lindfield Community Preschool is seeking experienced, energetic and flexible Educators and Early Childhood Teachers to be added to our casual pool within our Preschool.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Working across our 3 classrooms in small teams, our Educators are rostered between 7.30am – 3.30pm. Shifts range from 4 hours to 8 hours providing a high quality and inclusive educational experience of up to 20 children aged 3 – 5 years old. Each team consists of at least one Early Childhood Educator and Diploma Educator, and we aim to have at least 3 staff in the room at all times.
ABOUT YOU
You are a warm and dedicated Educator, with the ability to quickly adapt your teaching style to complement and support others within a classroom. Your written and verbal skills exhibit a high level of professionalism and understanding of best practice in Early Childhood Education. Respect for the environment and our community is modelled through your positive interactions with families, keen attention to detail and accountability.
To be successful in this role, you will be proficient in:
- Planning and implementing age-appropriate educational programs that align with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
- Creating and maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages children to explore and discover.
- Building partnerships and fostering a sense of community within the Preschool.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- A recognised qualification in Early Education and Care as approved by the Australian Children’s Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA)
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Diploma of Early Childhood
- Valid NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Genuine passion for working with children and their families
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience working effectively within a team
- Sound understanding of the NQF, EYLF v2.0, Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
- A level of mobility that supports the ability to respond to a first aid / behavioural incident
- Current First Aid and CPR qualifications
- Current knowledge of Child Protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
- Computer literacy skills

The successful applicant for this position will be required to hold a current NSW Working with Children Check clearance; first aid qualifications (HLTAID0012) including CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis management; and food handler certificate. Applicants must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or hold a visa with appropriate working rights.
