A bit about us:
Flowers Across Brisbane is a fast growing branch from the established base of Flowers Across™. We help thoughtful people send heartfelt floral gifts and provide a quick, convenient service delivering flowers throughout Brisbane from our new Acacia Ridge (4110) warehouse! 

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced florist who loves a challenge, is a fast learner and who thrives in a fast paced environment to join our new Brisbane team on a casual basis with the possibility of ongoing work/permanent transition in the future.

- Someone who loves the variety of dried and fresh arrangements and is willing to jump in and have a go

Who are we looking for?

• Someone with a floristry background (Certificate III qualified) or previous experience in floristry.
• A team player who thrives in a team-supportive environment.
• Someone energetic, professional and hard working.
• Someone excited by technology and how it can make the florist experience a better one for the customer.
• Someone who is creative and passionate about flowers and floristry.
• A person with a high level of attention to detail that takes pride in their work.
• Someone equally able to work both as part of a team or by themselves.

Main duties will be dependant on experience and will include all aspects of retail floristry including:

• Floristry and completing flower orders as they come in from the website (both fresh and dried arrangements)
• Assisting couriers with pickups and service when needed
• Assisting walk-in customers if needed (majority of our orders are online based)
• Unpacking of flower stock and sundries when it arrives
• Maintaining cleanliness and safety of work areas
• Other duties as directed

For the right person that wants to take the role further, this initial casual role could become a more permanent position in the future.

Hours:

Must be available for Monday and Saturday shifts.

We are flexible with hours, however are looking for someone available Mon/Sat at least, with a casual 15 hours p/w to commence with. Our ideal candidate would have a flexible mix of 7am-12pm and 12-5pm shifts, 3ish days/week.

In general, we are open from 7am - 5pm Monday to Friday, 7am-2pm Saturday. There is an opportunity to increase/permanise hours within this schedule in the future.

Pay:

Pay rates are above award rate and are commensurate with experience. Weekend penalties applied for Sat.
