We are currently looking for Casual Gym Instructors to join our team at Lords Recreation Centre who fulfil the below:

Key responsibilities in this role include:
- To provide assistance to clients within the Gymnasium;
- To provide services within the gymnasium including working on the gymnasium floor and correcting false exercise techniques;
- Conducting gym consultations, fitness tests, writing gym programs;
- Taking new members through medical history as part of gym consultation and seeking doctors' clearance for exercise prescription where necessary;
- To develop and implement health and fitness related workshops and challenges for member engagement;
- To create a positive environment for clients attending the gym;
- To maintain updated knowledge in exercise prescription and training techniques;
- Develop and maintain Myzone and Technogym system knowledge for program design and member engagement;
- To ensure all facilities are presented at the highest level of cleanliness and presentation at all times;
- To ensure all fitness equipment and surrounding fittings are safe, in good working order and the gymnasium is hazard free at all times;
- Conduct aquatic water tests and record results and perform cleaning and maintenance tasks when requested;
- To be proactive in maintaining a safe and hygienic work environment through the effective supervision of customers;
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the Centre's Work Health and Safety's policies and procedures.
The essential requirements for this position include:
- Minimum Certificate III and IV in Fitness or relevant tertiary level qualification in Health and Fitness
- Knowledge of rules, regulations and guidelines in relation to conducting gymnasium and fitness activities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Maintained Senior First Aid and CPR Certificate
- AUSActive Registration (Desirable)
Hourly Rate: From $32.49 per hour (21+ rate), inclusive of casual loading. 11% Superannuation is paid in addition.
The rate for a junior will be adjusted accordingly.
