About the Position
The City manages four sport and recreation centres and three aquatic centres and is currently seeking to create a pool of qualified Gym Instructors to work across Stirling Leisure Centres – Terry Tyzack Aquatic Centre, Leisurepark Balga and Scarborough Leisure Centre.
This position requires applicants to be able to work a range of shifts including early morning, evenings and weekend.

Key Responsibilities
The duties of the Gym Instructor will include but are not limited to:
- Conducting fitness appraisals.
- Designing individual programs for clients.
- Providing supervision to ensure safe and effective use of gym equipment.
- Gym Instructors take responsibility for maintaining the cleanliness of the Health & Fitness rooms and equipment.
- Gym Instructors are responsible for providing high standards of customer service to centre visitors and members.
Suitable candidate may have the opportunity for additional work including personal training and group fitness classes.
About You
The following qualifications

- AusActive Registration or an industry recognised equivalent.
- Certificate IV in Health & Fitness or equivalent tertiary qualification.
- Valid Working with Children Check.
- Current Perform First Aid Certificate.
- Current CPR Certificate.

This casual position is a Level 2 Inside Workforce Agreement positions which attracts a rate of $30.55 per hour plus casual loading. An additional 15% shift allowance may be applied to the base salary offered in accordance with the Inside Workforce Agreement. Suitable candidates may be contacted over a period of six months from close of advertising, as vacancies arise.
To be eligible to work for us, you need to provide, or have ability obtain a:
- A copy of Australian driving licence
- National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months)
- Pre-Employment Medical and DAS clearance
- The right to work in Australia.
