Position: Casual HSE Advisor
Location: Mackay
The Role:Our HSE Advisors play a key leadership role in our business and the safety of our teams. You will be responsible for providing HSE advice, leadership and support to our Area Managers, Superintendents and Supervisors. Reporting into the HSEQ Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the developing, implementing and maintaining of HSE procedures, policies, and standards throughout the company
- Taking a leadership approach in the safety culture of the business
- Working with the RMS Safety Management System with the intent for continuous real time monitoring of safety statistics
- Work on site to further develop the health, safety and environmental skills and capabilities of all employees in accordance with the RMS HSE strategy.
- Participate in regular HS&E meetings with the clients and related interested parties with the view to discussing HS&E concerns and actions.
- Ensuring compliance to the Qld Workplace Health and Safety Legislation including a working knowledge of the Australian Standards, Queensland Coal Mining Act and Industry Codes of Practice.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a HSE role
- Minimum Cert IV or Tertiary qualifications (minimum Diploma) in OH&S.
- Experience on large projects in project management systems.
- Experience and competencies in hazard Identification, and risk management.
- Experienced in the development and delivery of compliant OH&S Management systems.
