Sunrise Supported Living are looking to add a new casual member to our Maintenance Team. The successful candidate will be a hands on operator with an eye for detail and a can-do attitude. This casual role includes building maintenance & repairs, patching, painting, changing doors and locks, plumbing and more! No two days will be the same!
What is Sunrise Supported Living?
The Sunrise Village is a 106-unit Retirement Village focused on promoting independence and giving older people a fantastic community to live in on the Barrington Coast in the seaside town of Tuncurry NSW. Residents can prepare their own meals at home or come and join us in the Village dining room to share a meal with friends. We also have a full social calendar of activities, host events, and are part of the wider community. Residents have access to 24/7 Emergency support on site and can access care in the privacy of their own home.

What will I be doing?
- Providing a range of general maintenance and building maintenance duties - this may include painting, lighting maintenance, gutters, air conditioning, tiling, basic plumbing and other general repairs.
- General cleaning, gardening and basic IT duties
- Delivering a high level of service to residents, visitors, contractors, and staff
- Maintenance of the shared spaces, ensuring a high standard of presentation
- Working within health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff, reporting hazards where appropriate.

Qualifications and experience:
- Previous maintenance experience. Trade background/qualifications preferred but not essential.
- Previous experience in a Retirement Community or Aged Care environment advantageous
- Experience working independently and can use initiative in problem solving
- A service, solution, and preventative approach with strong customer service skills
- Computer skills
- Fully vaccinated for Influenza and COVID 19 (2 Doses)
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and achieve set goals with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility with hours when workloads demand
- Full Police Clearance
