Rydges Palmerston is a modern 200 Room Hotel located just 20 minutes from Darwin City in the Northern Territory.
We are seeking applicants for the position of Night Auditor to join our team
As Night Auditor, you will be reporting directly to the Front Office Manager. This position is predominantly overnight; 11.00pm to 7.00am shift, applicants will need to be reliable and have the flexibility to work all shifts including weekends.
About the role
- Flexible working hours
- Front office duties including check in and check out of guests
- Checking and balancing the days takings from all departments
- Data Entry and checking of Rates, Guest Information is accurate
- Addressing and resolving guest concerns or complaints
- Completing the night audit process, reconciliation & excel reporting
- Produce nightly reports as required
- Communicating & reporting issues to the manager
- To have a working knowledge of all emergency procedures
- Provide five star customer service in a busy working environment
- Have excellent communication skills with guests, management and team members
- Have excellent personal presentation
- Have an eye for detail
Skills and experience
- A high standard of presentation and reliability is required
- Exceptional customer service skills, communication and time management skills
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of computer literacy and accuracy
- A willingness to use initiative and have strong problem solving skills
- Exposure to good knowledge of reservations, accounts, complaint handling & problem solving.
- Experience using Opera PMS preferred but not essential
- Previous experience highly regarded
- Proven background in front desk and reservation operations preferred but not essential
