Northern Beaches Hospital provides world-class, Level 5 delineation services for both public and private patients. The hospital features 486 beds, 50-bed Emergency Department, 20-bed general and cardiothoracic ICU, 14 state-of-the-art theatres including cardiac catheter labs, world-class education centre, doctors lounge and excellent staff facilities including café and car parking.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Patient Liaison & Admissions Officer to join our friendly hard working team on a casual basis. Our administration team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high quality patient centred care. The successful applicant will be expected to liaise with and support multiple stakeholders (internal and external) from a range of disciplines and come into direct patient contact.
This role also involves the effective management of all patient admissions via our Emergency Department. Requiring preparation of all relevant documentation and collection of patient payments, including health funds check, DVA, Work Cover and Motor Vehicle Accidents. This is a fast paced environment. Customer service is expected to be of high standard and this is reflected by positive patient experiences.
To be successful in this role, you will also possess the following skills and attributes:
- Previous administrative experience in a front line customer facing environment
- Be able to work with a 24/7 roster including overnights.
- Exceptional customer service, responding to patients and stakeholders in a timely, efficient, friendly and courteous manner
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Knowledge of Private Health Funds desirable
- Ability to prioritise work
- Well-developed oral and written communication
- Good standard of computer literacy
Hours of the role:
Each shift will work 7.6 hours and the available shifts start from:
· 6:00
· 8:00
· 14:00
· 16:00
· 22:00

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant experience against the current Healthscope/NSW Health Professionals Support Services Agreement 2023 , salary range between $29.01 - $33.74 per hour.
