About Us
New Lambton District OOSH is a highly respected Before & After School Care centre. We deliver safe, professional care for children 5-12 years of age, servicing two local schools. We are a not-for-profit service, priding ourselves on providing a family atmosphere. All members of our large team are highly valued for the unique contribution they make to our service. We strongly encourage professional development and are proactive in providing opportunities for advancement.
Qualifications & experience
- Minimum Certificate III or Diploma in Children's Services and at least one year experience as an Educator.
- Sound knowledge of the National Quality Standards, The Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 and the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011.
- Understanding of Child Safe Standards.
- A professional co-operative approach to working with educators, families and the school community.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Child Protection - Identify and respond to children and young people at risk or willingness to obtain prior to employment.
- Current First Aid or willingness to obtain prior to employment.
Tasks & responsibilities
- The successful applicant will be required to plan, implement and evaluate appropriate experiences to complement the centre's program, have input into individual children's programs, show initiative, work independently and as part of a team, and be driven to contribute to constant improvement.
- The applicant will be employed under the Children's Services Award 2010.
