The Opportunity
Village Court Gardens, located in Glenvale Toowoomba, is a vibrant retirement living community with landscaped gardens and tranquil walking paths for our residents to enjoy. We have various opportunities for Registered Nurses to join our care team. In this role, you will thrive in an environment where resident choice comes first. Your ability to build a strong rapport with families and work closely with a dedicated team will help ensure clinical and interpersonal outcomes are exceeded. Your experience will be valued and you will play a key role in supporting the team around you to ensure quality outcomes for all residents in your care. Although we are primarily looking for Registered Nurses to join our team, we encourage experienced Enrolled Nurses to get in touch with us too!
We have casual opportunities to assist our team with picking up shifts on an ad-hoc basis. Shifts will vary from morning or afternoon shifts. No night shifts!
You will
- Lead, supervise and educate a care team and ensure the delivery of person-centred care at the highest possible standard
- Ensuring all residents receive general and support services in line with resident contracts and care plans and be accountable for all medication management
- Maintain effective inter-personal relationships with residents and wider stakeholders
- Respond to any first-aid or medical emergencies within the community
- Coach and assist a team of Personal Care Attendants
- Liaise effectively with external service providers who provide care within the community
