Why would you be a Casual Residential worker at Veritas House?
Here's why…
We support young people in two dedicated crisis accommodation houses, in Bathurst and Orange. Young people choose to join this service and stay in our safe and comfortable houses, while working with us to achieve sustainable accommodation. We have a dedicated team of passionate Youth Workers who support them and occasionally need a rest - that's where you come in!
We can offer you a lot of shifts - covering planned leave, sick leave and vacant lines in the roster. We can also cross train you in other areas, so you get even more work. It's the perfect job for someone trying to balance life and work, study and work, work and work - you get the picture.
It's also the perfect way to experience working at Veritas. We grow our talent from within, and many of our casuals go on to permanent work and move through the organisation - 2 of our Executive started in casual roles!
What do Residential Youth Workers do?

- Supporting young people to reconcile with family when it's safe and appropriate.
- Providing emotional and practical support.
