SalaryCasual Retail Chef – Quality Control, Food Distribution, Monitoring Event Day Operations of the Retail spaces at Accor and CommBank Stadium.
Join our team of dynamic and creative culinary experts at the Gema Group. We are a collection of vibrant venues that come to life all year round with a special focus on sporting events and concerts. We are looking for a passionate and talented Chef who can bring their unique creativity to our kitchen and elevate the dining experience for our guests. This role is working closely with our Head Chef of Retail. You will be instrumental is the delivery of Event Day retail experiences which includes many new exciting activations. This is not just a fast food ! This is good food !
About you:
- Ideally you should have at least three years’ experience as a Chef, however venue chef experience will be beneficial.
- You are able to build trust and positive relationships with colleagues.
- You can successfully manage competing priorities in a rapidly changing environment and are able to apply good judgement whilst under pressure.
- Food Safety Supervisor Certified.
- An applied knowledge and passion for understanding OHS, Food Safety & HACCP regulations.
- Demonstrate a passion for the food and hospitality industry.
- Work closely with the Retail Culinary team to ensure smooth kitchen and food service operations during busy Event Days.
- Maintain impeccable food quality and presentation, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays. This is a casual role with hours varying pending trade ( 20 – 30 hours per week )
