At TAFE Queensland, we’re looking for a Student Services Specialists to join our vibrant team, working from our office in Townsville and make a real difference in the lives of our students.TAFE Queensland regularly has vacancies (Casual). This talent pool may be open for up to 3 months and is for the below opportunities as they become available.Casual OO3 AccessAbility Support Worker (Casual OO3T1- OO3T4 $39.48 to $41.94 per hour)

• As the AccessAbility Support Worker, you will provide support and agreed reasonable adjustments to learners with a disability in vocational education and training programs in TAFE Queensland and provide educational support for people with a disability as identified in AccessAbility plans. This may include specific duties related to the student and disability type.

Casual OO4 AccessAbility Coach (Casual OO4T1 -OO4T4 $43.63 to $47.75 per hour)

• As the AccessAbility Coach, you will Provide support and agreed reasonable adjustments to learners with a disability in vocational education and training programs in TAFE Queensland and assist faculties in achieving increased retention and completion rates by ensuring the needs of students and clients are met and, provide a wide range of administrative and support services to the various business units within the Region.

Interpreter for the Hearing Impaired (Casual $53.78 per hour)

• The educational interpreter, Auslan will Interpret everything that is said in and outside the classroom environment and assist with the communicative needs of deaf or hearing impaired students using Australian Sign Language (Auslan) according to the specific needs of the deaf or hearing impaired student. As the Interpreter for the Hearing Impaired you will Contribute to the provision of a quality educational service by providing high level support for teaching and learning. You will utilise specialised knowledge, limited direction, initiative and the application of judgement.
