Casual Tour Guide & Driver (winery Tours)

Are you the next Tour Guide for Merry Heart CBR? Here's your chance to work amongst a picturesque landscape, while guiding customers to the best local wineries, breweries & distilleries around Canberra in Murrumbateman, Lake George and Wallaroo. 

Work mostly on Saturdays. 

About Merry Heart CBR... 
Merry Heart CBR guide wines, beers and spirits tasting tours to the scenic Canberra region.
We’re a small team with big drive! We pride ourselves on exceptional customer service and quality day-tours hosted by our fun and informative Tour Guides.

What we're looking for... 
A hard-working, professional & charismatic person, who will be available to run half or full day guided tasting tours. 

You do NOT have to know about wine as you will be provided with training. 

The right candidate contractor must have... 

• Light Rigid / Medium Rigid / Heavy Rigid driving licence - or ability to obtain one at your own cost (~$1200)
• Strong social skills (a "people person")
• Excellent customer service skills
• A great work ethic / hard-worker
• Time management skills
• Be a safe and confident driver 
• Feel confident talking in front of groups
• A willingness to learn and adapt quickly
• Available to work at least one day on the weekend 

Bonus points for...

• RSA
• Wine/Beer/Spirits knowledge
• A passion for food, wine or beer
   

What the job will entail... 

• Driving a 25 seater bus (requires LR+ licence)
• Conduct informative wine tastings
• Speaking in front of our tour groups 
• Accurately & punctually following an itinerary
• Entertaining and informing customers

ADDITIONAL INFO
The successful candidate will need to have (or have the ability to obtain) a Public Bus condition on their licence from Access Canberra. To obtain this (at your own cost ~$100), you must:

• be a permanent Australian resident or have a visa that allows you to work in Australia
• hold a full ACT driver licence
• hold a current positive Working with Vulnerable People registration and maintain this registration while you hold a public vehicle licence
• provide a commercial driver's health assessment less than 6 months old. Exceptions for this are if you’ve submitted one in the last 5 years and already have a public driver licence.
