About the Role:
As our Category Analyst, you will implement category strategies to effectively meet the needs of Ferrero and our key customers, such as Woolworths, Coles, Big W, and petrol and convenience and independents customers. You will drive growth strategies and business plans using the 4Ps in addition to shopper, category, and market insights.
You will work on our iconic brands, such as Nutella, and Tic Tac as well as working on our expanding biscuit portfolio to develop customer point of purchase vision. You will own category range reviews, promotional analysis, recommend shelf and off location positions, and shelf review analysis for our key customers.
Main Responsibilities:
As Ferrero's Category Analyst, your days will be diverse and exciting, encompassing a range of different activities, such as:
Strategy Development
You will define and implement tools and projects to support the strategic development of the retail mix, including space management, ranging and promotions. Working with the retailers, you will provide insights and opportunities through strategic category reviews, range reviews and planning days.
Category Expertise
Based on the category growth vision, you will develop initiatives to drive growth with the customers in the areas of product (price, range or planograms) which will deliver brand growth for Ferrero. This will include providing effective and actionable insights to support our plans with key retailers and develop and implement specific tailored initiatives and Go to Market Execution Plans.
Price & Promotional Strategy
You will assist with reviewing promotional guidelines to ensure customer needs are factored into a competitive promotional strategy, and analyze impacts on promotions and shoppers, and assist with recommendations of effective promotional price points and frequency.
Market Analysis
Monitor, analyze and report on customer, competition and shopper market data to identify opportunities and evolve category development plans by customer and lead channel.
Space Management
You will utilize category and shopper insights to propose effective space management and shelf layouts, including planogram creation and provide support for customers. You will use JDA Space Management tool to develop, analyse and review Planogram impacts, as well as evaluate performance.
Efficient Assortment Analysis
You will provide range reviews and efficient assortment analysis by key customer to ensure that Ferrero is represented appropriately on shelf and the tail of products is proactively managed. Ensure that insights from analysis are utilized effectively and used to inform tail management strategies.
Who we are looking for:
As our Category Analyst, you will be results orientated with an analytical mindset and a love of problem solving. You will be familiar with key category techniques, strategies, and promotional policies. Previous experience in the FMCG industry in a similar role and a degree qualification is preferred.
