We are seeking an eager and self-motivated Category Analyst with a strong knowledge of the hospitality industry to join our close-knit Category Team.
The key areas of responsibility for this role are to support the Category Team with
- Rebate Management
- Supplier Contract Management
- Reporting of Category Performance
- Catalogue Development
What you’ll be doing
Rebate Management
- Maintain, track, forecast rebates & trading terms including unconditional & long term incentives.
- Run quarterly purchasing figures, send reports to suppliers for approval, reconcile any differences in order value, invoice amounts and update spreadsheet
Contract Management
- Manage Trading Terms with Category Managers
- Update master file notifying the team when current terms are due to expire
- Management of Category Imports master file and costings
Reporting
- Develop and Maintain Category performance dashboard
- Sales and purchases reporting with analysis and LTI status, QBR reports
Catalogue
- Annual Catalogue development and product performance review
- Catalogue Master file management
- Manage and report spend against budget for the annual Tradeshow and Catalogue.
What we are looking for
- Highly skilled numerically and analytically
- Effective communication skills (written / spoken)
- Service orientated and a team player
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy is essential
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required to deal with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Ability to deal with confidential information in a professional manner
- Pronto (or similar ERP) system knowledge
- Excel knowledge and skills
- SQL and report writing
- Understanding of business processes including Inventory, Procurement, Accounts and Sales
Desirable Criteria
- Knowledge of hospitality and catering products gained from experienced working within the hospitality industry
- Understanding of supplier product and market knowledge
