Roles and responsibilities:
- Aid and support the Senior product Manager in developing products within the lifestyle portfolio.
- Assist in managing categories, including pricing, data input and promotional activity.
- Assist in bringing programs from inception through to introduction, coordinating and involving relevant stakeholders and departments.
- Support supplier relationships to achieve desired business goals for sample tracking & management, lead times, pricing reviews and delivery schedules.
- Work with sales, marketing, and operations teams to implement plans and initiatives that drive awareness and optimise sales across product categories.
- Provided internal customer service and technical support teams with product knowledge & warranty/service support as required.
- Communicate with relevant internal departments and suppliers on product improvement, issues, and development as required.
- Attend trade shows, supplier visits & inspections as required.
Skills and Experience
- Experience assisting a category, buyer, or product manager in the 4WD, Automotive, Outdoor lifestyle, or similar industry.
- Knowledge and experience in product development sourcing and category management would be advantageous.
- Understanding of consumer marketing, retail trends and opportunities.
- Previous experience working in a team environment, influencing stakeholders to achieve results.
- Sound financial and commercial acumen and ability to work within a highly cost-effective framework and environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to plan, multi-task, and manage time effectively.
- Excellent computer and database skills in Microsoft Excel (able to create functions, lookups, pivot tables)
- Good communication skills in both verbal and written form
- Occasional travel may form part of this role.
