Snooze Management, based in Canterbury is currently seeking a detail-focused, self-motivated Assistant Category Manager to provide analytical and administrative support to the Product Team by ensuring data accuracy of all information relating to Product is properly maintained and communicated.
Tasks and responsibilities will relate to product ranging, marketing campaigns, photoshoots, and in-person Snooze events as directed by the General Manager of Product. The Assistant Category Manager will also support the Data Administrator in management of all product enquiries from stores.

Day to day responsibilities
Product data maintenance and analysis
- Management of all product information in Pronto and Reporting systems (Qlikview, etc), in conjunction with Product Administrator, ensuring accuracy and adherence to agreed conventions and standards
- Management of naming convention hierarchy in conjunction with each Senior Category Manager, and ensuring all new product is created adhering to this agreed hierarchy
Product Department support
- Reporting & Analysis - weekly trade, monthly board reports, campaign scorecards, and ad hoc as requested by GM of Product
- Supporting the Senior Category Managers with co-ordination of information for marketing campaign briefs, photoshoot briefs, digital new product briefs and any other templates and information as required to communicate product initiatives to the Marketing department
- Review and proof reading of marketing campaigns to ensure all information is accurate
- Support the Senior Category Managers and the GM of Product with the planning of all Snooze events, photoshoots, collaborative cross-functional projects, where product is involved
- Support the Senior Category Manager of Soft Furnishings where required in delivering category expansion initiatives
- Co-ordinate the linen wall planogram, Core Line listing templates and other product- related templates required by stores , ensuring they are kept accurate and up to date
- Weekly collation of Product Update for publishing by Product Administrator
- Back up support to the Data Administrator with campaign uploads, pronto data management and other ad hoc tasks as requested
Store queries
- Ensure all store product enquiries (online, email or telephone) are handled in a timely and accurate manner
Qualifications and experience
- Previous experience with product and data management
- Proven track record of working within a retail environment
- Intermediate Excel skills - at a minimum (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
- Prefer candidates who have performed a similar role
