Our client is an innovative private organisation, that delivers high-value procurement solutions, education and consulting services to their clients. Some of their services include establishing contract panels, consulting, professional development and contract management. Their customers include NSW councils, not for profit organisations, universities, state government agencies and departments.
This position plays a pivotal role in translating the procurement requirements of their clients into high-quality effective contracts with suppliers. You will be responsible for the end-to-end category management for contracts across the ICT and Corporate categories of spend.
Your role will provide direction and support in categories under management, including the development of contract scope, execution, launch and ongoing contract success. Your role will also help raise the quality of existing and new contracts that are available to make it the preferred choice of buying arrangements for their clients.
Aspects of your role will include:
- Raising the quality of existing and new contracts to make them the preferred choice for their clients.
- You will be responsible for the end-to-end category management across the ICT and Corporate categories of spend.
- Management of commercial, contractual, operational, financial, reputational, ethical, and supply chain risks, to minimise negative impacts on category objectives.
- Establishment and maintenance of appropriate stakeholder and contractor engagement
- Provision of expert advice to key stakeholders.
- A good understanding of leading procurement principles and practices (i.e. category management, strategic sourcing, contracts administration and management of RFT processes). Experience across the ICT and Corporate categories of spend would be ideal but not a must. If you are keen to get experience in these categories, this would be a great opportunity for you.
- Qualifications in procurement, supply chain, legal or relevant business experience.
- You will have outstanding stakeholder management skills and the ability to build rapport at all levels.
