As a Category Manager at Tradelink, you will assume a pivotal role in our organisation, responsible for strategically managing suppliers and products to drive sustainable growth and maintain our competitive edge. Your primary objectives encompass optimizing costs, enhancing margins, and crafting compelling promotional strategies while ensuring the availability of products tailored to meet our discerning customers' needs.
As a Category Manager, here’s what your responsibilities will include:
• Lead supplier negotiations for cost optimization and profit maximization.
• Source high-quality products in line with company objectives.
• Cultivate strong supplier relationships to enhance performance and reliability.
• Develop strategies for sustainable supply chains and risk mitigation.
• Implement sourcing policies ensuring corporate responsibility and legal compliance.
• Collaborate with commercial teams on product requirements and pricing strategies.
• Monitor financial and product metrics, initiating action plans to meet targets.
• Foster partnerships with international sourcing teams and logistics experts.
• Conduct market analysis to monitor competitors and identify opportunities.

This role is ideal for experienced professionals in category management or procurement, particularly those with a proven track record in negotiating supplier contracts, optimizing costs, and driving profitability. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, strategic thinking abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.
In addition to this you will need:
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Possess a graduate-level qualification with demonstrated experience in a similar capacity
• Proven track record of successful negotiation and supplier management
• In-depth familiarity with Tradelink's product range and industry dynamics
