The Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre (MECC) has an exciting opportunity for a Permanent Part Time Catering Assistant to join our enthusiastic catering services team! This is an opportunity to support the planning and delivery of catering services across our 3 exciting venues – MECC, BB Print Stadium and Foodspace Mackay.

About this Opportunity: 

We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional catered experiences for our customers. The successful candidate will have food and beverage experience at supervisor level and will be required to be available to work a variety of shifts including days, nights and weekends, hours will vary between 20 to 38 hours per week. 

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills: 

• A minimum of 6 months hospitality experience (Food & Beverage, Banquet, Function or Customer Service).
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate is essential.
• Current QLD ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
• Blue Card - It is an essential requirement for this position to hold a Working with Children Blue Card.  Under Queensland legislation, you must hold the Blue Card prior to commencing employment – No Card, No Start policy.  If you currently do not hold a Blue Card, we recommend you commence the application process when you apply for the position. • Base hourly rate from $25.91 + allowances
