We currently have an opportunity for a reliable and motivated individual to work as a Catering Assistant, joining our commercial catering team based in Kelvin Grove on a casual basis.
Working in various roles in the kitchen you could either be predominantly in Plate up, Cold Room Packing or Pot Wash. You will be required to work 8-hour shifts which will involve manual lifting and cleaning.
You will assist the Chef Supervisor in the general preparation and provision of high-quality meals whilst ensuring a clean, sanitary, and well-maintained environment.
To be suitable for this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a large food production facility/commercial kitchen (preferred)
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or processing environment (preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and coordinate work schedules to meet changing requirements, work effectively under pressure, problem solve and meet deadlines.
- Drivers licence (desirable)
- Valid work Visa
