Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with regulations such as Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and the NSW Liquor Act.
- Manage culinary operations to enhance guest experiences and storytelling.
- Conduct weekly kitchen inspections to assess equipment functionality and report deficiencies promptly.
- Supervise kitchen and line staff during functions to ensure efficient timing and delivery.
- Monitor and control food cost targets to maintain budget adherence in collaboration with the Director of Catering.
- Prepare event beverages and cocktails and pack tubs with all required products.
- Order all dry goods supplies for the kitchen.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment into vehicles and venues.
- Participate in general clean-up duties and property maintenance as part of the team's collective responsibility.
- Maintain punctuality according to rosters and remain flexible for last-minute events.
- Implement accurate and timely cost control measures for menus according to standards set by the Catering Director.
- Ensure execution of client briefs to the standards outlined by the Plated Group of Companies.
- Participate in the recruitment and selection of kitchen staff.
- Ensure correct staffing levels and adherence to payroll budgets for all functions.
- Facilitate kitchen staff training to enhance professionalism and skills.
- Uphold cleanliness standards in the kitchen and other locations worked in.
- Serve as a point of contact for clients, responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, and providing exceptional customer service.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty to both Plated Catering and Three Food Memories.
- Gather feedback from clients to identify areas for improvement and opportunities to enhance the customer experience.
- Represent the company at events and client interactions.
