In this role the duties will include but not be limited to:
- Responsibly preparing, cooking hot and/or cold food items
- Following menu specifications and recipes as provided, diligently; while checking for quality and presentation
- Adhering to strict compliance and quality control protocols while completing the required documentation
- Responsibly produce and portion items to specific portion control specification and minimizing food wastage
- Keeping work areas for food preparation, cooking surfaces, and utensils clean and tidy always
- Maintaining a high level of personal hygiene, cleanliness and compliant with organisation’s requirements
Selection Criteria:
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery
- Previous experience in a large commercial kitchen is highly desirable
- Good understanding of HACCP & other food safety measures
- Ability to understand and adhere to specifications and recipes essential
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy high volume production team environment
- Availability for seven-day rotating rosters is essential
