Catering Manager - Aged Care

Reporting to the GroupOperations Manager, this role will support the team with all aspects of the catering operations to deliver an excellent customer experience as well as ensuring compliance and implementing appropriate standards and practices. This role will elevate culinary standards, mentoring our teams, and in consultation, make a real difference in the lives of the residents.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Catering Operations Management: Oversee kitchen and dining activities, ensuring efficient systems and processes.
• Quality Meal Delivery: Coordinate daily meal services, including special events, offer diverse meals that meet residents' care needs.
• Staff Management: Maintain full rosters in consultation with Home Managers, manage performance and ensure continuous staff development
• Administrative Support: Oversee catering budgets, maximise revenues, maintain stock efficiency.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure food safety plans, council registrations, and external audits are up-to-date and participate in quality meetings.

Requirements:

• A qualification in Hospitality Management, Nutrition/Culinary Nutrition, or a related field
• Food safety supervisor accreditation
• Experience within the Aged Care service sector
• Both a team player, and able to work independently
• Excellent communication skills, dispute resolution, and problem solving
• Professional approach to internal and external customers and a commitment to customer satisfaction
• Remaining aware and understanding the legislated changes as they impact on the Aged Care industry
• Demonstrable experience in effectively leading, motivating and managing a team
