Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) are currently seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join the warm and supportive team at the Child and Family Health Centre located at Wyong Hospital

About You

  • Qualification of a Degree in Social Work from an accredited course providing eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) (overseas qualifications must supply the AASW Overseas Assessment number) and an eligible NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel for work. A demonstrated understanding of the current AASW Practice Standards as they relate to the position and a commitment to maintaining a professional skill and knowledge base.
  • A well-developed understanding of the psycho-social and attachment issues that can occur during child development.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing therapeutic interventions with families-including individual and Family counselling, a high level of assessment, brief intervention and group facilitation skills.

Where you’ll be working

This position is currently based at Wyong Hospital and will focus primarily on delivering assessment, counselling and therapeutic interventions to assist children and their family/carers to develop healthy and secure relationships within families.
