The primary role of the Cellar Door Manager is to sell wine by providing our guests a benchmark experience in customer service at our Cellar Door. The successful candidate will also manage a small team, provide administration services where required, assist with the picking, packing and dispatch of wine orders and provide support for on-site events.
The key responsibilities in this role include:
- Provide guests with a benchmark regional tasting experience at our Margaret River Cellar Door;
- Ability to convey the message of our business and wines in a clear and relatable way;
- Promote an inclusive, accessible and convivial space for both guests and staff to enjoy;
- Ensure efficient running of the Cellar Door including management of the small Cellar Door team;
- Working with the Direct Sales Manager to proactively implement; strategies within the Cellar Door to drive conversion of guests to our Wine Club;
- Assist in the development of promotional offers to foster engagement of guests in Cellar Door;
- A focus on exceptional customer service for the retention of Wine Club members;
- Assist in strategy with Management and the Direct Sales Manager to increase visitation to the Cellar Door;
- Developing strategies to optimise the experience of guests at Cellar Door
- Ensure adherence to responsible service of alcohol legislation;
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe workplace both in the Cellar Door and the warehouse area behind Cellar Door;
- Updating and maintaining relevant information at Cellar Door including tasting notes, awards, technical information;
- Managing the POS system including ensuring wines, pricing and information is correct;
- Engaging with the Events Manager to ensure preparation and delivery of events on site is smooth; and
- Currently hold (or is able to attain) an approved managers licence.
