Mary MacKillop Childcare North Queensland provides high-quality provision of care to families across the Diocese of Townsville, which stretches from Ingham in the North, Proserpine in the South, Mount Isa in the West and Palm Island to the East. We have grown to include 6 Early Learning Centres, 9 Kindergartens and 14 Outside School Hours Care centres.
About the position
St Mary MacKillop Early Learning Centre (ELC) Mount Isa is backed by a passionate, committed and enthusiastic team of educators, who prioritise creating a comfortable, engaging environment, supporting individual growth. All rooms within our centre provide a play-based educational program that caters to all children's developmental needs. Educators draw on a range of experience and knowledge to challenge children's learning as they investigate and explore – we work under the belief that each child's learning journey influences their life choices and wellbeing.
Our Centre is seeking a driven and passionate Director on a full-time permanent basis. This position is 38 hours per week and will commence as soon as practicable.
The successful applicants will report to the Business Operations Consultant and manage day to day operations of the service including staffing, administration and financial management tasks, including responsibilities as nominated supervisor.
What you’ll need to succeed
Minimum Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent
Previous experience in a similar position
Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
Current First Aid Certificate Including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis or ability to obtain before commencement
Understanding and knowledge of National Quality Framework and My Time Our Place Framework
Ability to learn new systems and child care management software (XPlor)
The ability to work effectively in a close-knit team environment
Passionate and dedicated to providing the highest standard of education for our children and their families
