Centre Manager - The Village Shopping Centre Bacchus Marsh

Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity available as Centre Manager in the only major shopping centre based in Bacchus Marsh, VIC. This centre is a dominant, dual-supermarket anchored centre that delivers a premium shopping experience within Bacchus Marsh. An ideal number of food & service retailers underpin the centre’s convenience offering together with a mix of leading national chain tenants. 

As the Centre Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong, positive relationships with retailers, provide marketing and promotional activity support and ultimately ensuring the centre trading environment is well presented, safe and an inviting destination for customers. 

The position requires open communication between the Leasing Manager, Group Marketing Manager and the Company Chairman to maximise the effective operation of the assets.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Relationship and operational management of retailers.
• Team management and recruitment of additional centre staff.
• Maintaining positive relations with retailers, customers, suppliers, local government and other important stakeholders.
• Ensure the centre’s facilities and services are maintained to a high standard, and that repairs and maintenance schedules are carried out as required.
• Proactively assist in managing debtors including identification and strategic management of critical retailers.
• Responsibility for the overall performance and presentation of the shopping centre.
• Assessing the performance of retailers and identifying opportunities to improve sales.
• Reporting to management team, as required.

Ideal background:

• Experience in a shopping centre environment either in a Centre Management Role or with Retail Management experience.
• Strong customer and people skills.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent relationship management skills.
• Strong team management experience.
• Initiative, professionalism & persistence.
