About Us
The Australian National Phenome Centre (ANPC) is a world-class facility led by Murdoch University focused on high-throughput metabolic phenotyping for the advancement of precision medicine and personalised healthcare. Located in the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research adjacent to the Fiona Stanley Hospital, the ANPC is the largest dedicated facility for metabolic phenotyping in the world. It is a state-of-the-art national infrastructure that houses spectroscopic instrumentation including 11 Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectrometers and more than 25 Mass Spectrometers of various modalities and configurations.
The Role
The Centre Manager is a key role that operates under the direction of the ANPC Head and will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and management of the Centre as well as the provision of high level financial and contractual advice to senior Centre academics and executives.
Further key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and developing effective systems and processes to ensure the efficient day-to-day administrative management of the centre,
- Prepare and oversee ANPC operating budget, including forecasts, in consultation with University finance departments,
- Ensure all research and operational activities of the Centre are compliant with the relevant legislation, statutes, regulations, and policy; including those related to research funding and contracts,
- Work closely with the University Research Office for the administration of research grants,
- Work with the ANPC Head and senior academics in the development, preparation and submission of research grants and proposals,

What you'll bring to this role
- Degree in Commerce with at least four years of subsequent relevant experience, OR extensive experience and management expertise in a related field,
- Demonstrated experience in financial management of a diverse funding environments,
- Project management and administrative skill experience; with the ability to plan, coordinate, document, and carry out tasks and projects through to completion in a demanding academic and research environment,
- Experience in the preparation of grants and funding proposals, with an in-depth understanding of complex funding arrangements and sources,
- Demonstrated leadership, problem solving and workflow management skills.
