We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our passionate and dedicated teams across our three residential care facilities.
The role is part-time, working 3 days a week (20 hours). Flexible to choose any weekdays, however require ongoing commitment to those fixed days.
In collaboration with the residential care facility management, the successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of quality occupational therapy assessments, interventions and advice in accordance with residents assessed needs and wishes and all legislative requirements.

Your main duties will include:
- Practice in accordance with the Occupational Therapist scope of practice, code of conduct and registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Plan, organise and support the therapy assistants in the delivery of, a therapeutic and lifestyle program for groups and individuals.
- In collaboration with the Residential Care Management Team, responsibility for the completion and review and of designated clinical and lifestyle assessments, as per the agreed assessment schedule and changes to resident clinical needs and wishes.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to finalise review and evaluate resident care plans as per agreed schedule and ACFI requirements.
- Respond effectively to residents changing needs e.g. returning from hospital, complex clinical needs, palliative, or terminal care.
- Liaise and work with external health providers e.g. General Practitioners, Allied Health professionals, acute hospitals, and other health agencies to deliver high quality therapy and lifestyle services to residents.
To be a successful applicant you will have:
- Tertiary Qualification in Occupational Therapy
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
- Demonstrated experience in evidence based and resident-centred practice
- Intermediate computer literacy (MS Office)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organisational and time management skills
- Ability to foster teamwork, mentor, and support indirect reports

Essential Criteria:
- A current Police Check (National Police Certificate)
- Obtain a current flu vaccination
- Comply with other Commonwealth and State regulations to work in aged care, including COVID vaccination
Desired criteria includes:
- Previous residential aged care experience
- Knowledge and understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards, quality and risk management systems
- Understanding and experience with AN-ACC
- Understanding and experience in use of aged care electronic care systems
