Tasks and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will,
- ensure that the centre is a safe area and environment for the children, staff, parents and visitors
- work with assistant director/director to develop and adapt programs that are developmentally appropriate for the children aimed at building physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of the children (individuals and groups)
- supervise and provide care for children on centre premises, including observing changes and interpreting their behaviour
- be accountable for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records for the children in your care
- develop, implement and monitor daily care routines including managing rosters using our time and attendance system
- communicate and liaise with parents and families
- uphold and comply with relevant government requirements, workplace practices and standards including day-to-day food safety practices
- ensure that centre’s policies and procedures are adhered to on an operational day-to-day basis
- control parents payments
- ensure the premises are tidy, clean, operational and cared for
- keep up to date in the governance of a child care facility
Qualification, Skills, Experience and Attributes
The successful candidate will,
· Have at least 2 years of experience in same position or closely related position
· Hold a Diploma of Childhood Education and Care, at the minimum
· Be available 5 days per week
· Be highly organised with a strong ability to work under pressure
· Have excellent attention to details
· Have experience maintaining health and safety standards, and risk minimisation
· Possess strong knowledge of the National Quality Standards and Education and Care Regulations
· Have confidence dealing with families, educators and the local community
· Be passionate about Early Years learning and development

- $75,000 to $85,000

Our centres include Wantirna South Early Learning Centre, Fitzroy Early Learning Centre and Grimshaw St Early Learning Centre.
