We are currently seeking a full-time, compassionate, professional and appropriately qualified, Centre Supervisor to join our Lifeline Human Assisted Digital Team. This role operates remotely with the requirement to attend and occasionally work within Lifeline QLD Centres. Applications from anywhere in QLD will be considered.
Reporting to a Service Manager, the Centre Supervisor accountabilities will include:
- Provide group supervision for crisis supporters using a reflective practice approach
- Provide individual supervision to crisis supporters to address specific call themes or issues identified as areas of development opportunities
- Ensure the development and enhancement of professional knowledge and skills in existing areas of crisis support policy and practice
- Develop and deliver relevant professional development to enhance the understanding and application of skills relevant to telephone crisis support
- Identify when a crisis supporter may require individual supervision or debriefing outside of scheduled sessions and where appropriate encourage external professional support
- Record and maintain appropriate records, including all group, individual supervision sessions and store confidentially in line with privacy requirements
- Attend and participate in forums and meetings as required, and contribute to the national continuous improvement activities of Centre supervisors
- Meet minimum requirements concerning own supervision and professional development, as per accrediting body (or as per Lifeline Supervision Procedures)
- A flexible approach in your working hours, to meet needs of the team
- Compliance with Lifeline Australia accreditation standards and policy guidelines
You will have relevant tertiary qualifications and demonstrated experience working in a similar role. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, high levels of self-motivation and collaboration, the ability to work as part of a team and skills to support a remote team.
- Current accreditation under a National Social Work or Counselling Registration Body (minimum ACA level 2)
- Experience of providing a professional level of both individual and group supervision
- Demonstrated high level of initiative in decision making and problem solving especially in crisis situations
- Demonstrated high level of communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to support a diverse, remote team
- Proficiency with online channels for coaching and supervision such as Zoom and Teams
