SalaryRegional Development Australia Southern NSW & ACT (RDASNA) is part of a national network of organisations in receipt of funding from the Federal government to deliver a Charter to drive economic growth, innovation and entrepreneurship in the regions. Our income is supported by other project and grant-based activities which provide important diversity of income and connection to stakeholders and allows us to deliver real outcomes for the region.
We are entering an exciting new stage in the growth of our organisation, with an expanded territory which includes the ACT and the NSW local government areas of Upper Lachlan, Hilltops, Wingecarribee, Eurobodalla, Bega Valley, Snowy Monaro, Goulburn, Yass and Queanbeyan Palerang.
We are seeking a highly motivated, team orientated CEO, who will lead the organisation through its next stage of development and deliver the strategic objectives and priorities of the Board, while fulfilling its legislative obligations. Working closely with the Board, the CEO will play a critical role in progressing the vision and mission of the organisation as it goes through a period of significant restructure and growth.
The role will initially be until 30th June 2025, with a possible extension based on funding and performance.
Essential experience includes:
- Working in a regional economic development portfolio at a senior level, with experience in regional policy development and investigating regional service delivery functions.
- Demonstrated ability to provide strong leadership and create a team environment through a progressive, consultative and flexible management approach.
- Strong commercial acumen and an entrepreneurial drive to maximise value within a long-term financial management framework.
- Strong governance experience, with the ability to interpret and understand legislation impacting the organisation as well as local, State and Federal government.
- Executive level experience of a relevant, equal sized multi‐functional organisation (General Manager, Operations Director, COO or CEO).
- Demonstrated application of strategic leadership in the development of innovative approaches, concepts and opportunities in a regional setting.
- Within the RDA SNA region, demonstrated experience in building and maintaining relationships with a Board, Government Ministers, key stakeholders, and senior bureaucrats in order to ensure positive outcomes for the community.

We are offering a total salary package of $200,000 pa negotiable which includes a company car.
